Properly managed and calibrated irrigation is critical to landscape health for your Lake Tahoe yard and garden.
Greetings fellow tree lovers!
During the summer season I have been approached by several clients asking me to augment their irrigation systems. The reason for this is that most lawn maintenance crews do not have the knowledge required to identify and diagnose potential drought or overwatering problems before they occur.
My recommendation to clients is to have a qualified professional monitor their property at least twice a month during the summer, this is a service Arbor Green provides. Our visits include troubleshooting irrigation systems, recalibrating drip emitters and pop up sprayers, and adjusting duration times as needed. Our services also include diagnoses and treatment of insect and disease problems. Many of these insect problems occur as a result of improper irrigation practices.
Quite often I find many different size perennials, woody ornamentals, and landscape trees planted together under the same drip emitters, when they all have different watering needs. As the plants grow, these needs change, therefore the system needs augmentation annually in order to ensure these trees and shrubs will thrive.
Many times I’m called to a property to treat a favorite tree and sadly the damage has already been done. Years of mismanagement has cost the homeowner not only equity in their home but the sentimental loss of a valued aspect of their landscape.
When it comes to your landscaping needs, trust a certified Arborist to correctly diagnose and treat your trees and shrubs. Having your irrigation system monitored and calibrated can prevent potential problems and keep your landscape healthy and beautiful for years to come.
Yours for healthy trees,
Bill
